A group of 8 of us went in two 4WDs to Moreton Island for a great weekend camping trip!

We camped at the Nortern campground and had the place almost to ourselves for the weekend.

Lorianne, Sara, Dan, Roman, Jochem, Heros and Matt all came along on this birthday trip and made it great fun!

Saturday morning we got up early to surf and before heading in we saw a number of whales and a few dolphins from the lighthouse on the headland.

We were surfing all of saturday and had a very nice camp oven stew on the fire at night.

On sunday morning there were dolphins close to the beach. After breakfast we packed up and drove all the way down south on the east coast. We crossed over to the west coast and went up the amazing big sandhills. The views of the bay and the island from the top were breathtaking!

Then we went to the Tangalooma wrecks and snorkelled at the 5 ship wrecks! We saw many tropical fish there, but time was cut short as we had to catch the ferry back to Brissy.

All in all a great camping trip!!!
