20 people in total decided to come on this great Arup camping trip to Double Island Point (south of Rainbow Beach and north of Noosa).

We stayed at Freshwater campground, which was perfect for our group.

We arrived at the campground very late Friday night after heavy traffic (and driving via Gympie) and grocery shopping.

Saturday was spent with an early morning surf on the south side of Double Island Point. At mid-day we all went up to the lighthouse on the point and saw a pack of 15-20 dolphins!!!
Then we had a few hours of very heavy rain, before we had a BIG afternoon BBQ. At night the rain started again, but it didn't stop the party!

Sunday morning we surfed on the north side of the point, which was not bad with off shore winds.
In the afternoon the whole group went back to the northern beach which meant time for some touch footy, football, freesbee, swimming and of course SURFING!!! The swell had changed and the wind dropped off so we had a great session for 2-3 hours before sunset.
At night it was party time again and we followed up on the camp fire - this time with massive logs.

The Monday morning surf was pretty good. We packed up the camp and drove south along the beach to Noosa.

All in all a great camping trip!!!
